Introduction

Overview

The KF hosts various exhibitions in cooperation with organizations that seek to introduce world cultures to Koreans and foreign residents in Korea.

Eligible Applicants

Foreign embassies and cultural institutes in Korea, non-profit local and international organizations

Please note: Private individuals are not eligible to apply.

Eligible Areas

Various visual arts including crafts, design, paintings, and photography as well as architecture

Areas of Support

Comprehensive visual arts, including painting, sculpture, photography, installations, relics, folk arts, crafts, design and fashion

Details of Support

The Korea Foundation may offer certain project-related assistance for below items.

  • The KF Gallery Space
  • PR Materials Production Cost
  • Installation / Removal Cost
  • The KF Gallery Management Cost

    The Korea Foundation should be credited as a “co-host” of the exhibition.

Exhibition Periods

During the year of project implementation, exhibition must run for a minimum of two months.

Please note: Exhibition periods include installation and dismantling days.

Please check the relevant application announcement for required documents.

Evaluation Criteria

  • Quality of proposed projects(exhibition content and artworks) and exhibition plan as well as expected outcomes in terms of advancing cultural exchange / understanding between countries
  • Extent of contribution to help Koreans better understand / appreciate world cultures
  • Qualification and proven credibility of applicant organization (Careful consideration will be placed on the previous activities of applicant organizations and project participants, and an assessment of any past projects that received support from the KF.)
  • Projects that satisfy the objectives and priorities of the KF’s programs
  • Availability of exhibition-related programs and possibility for tour of other cities in Korea

    Please note: Priority will be placed on commemorative/anniversary-theme exhibitions, feasibility and overall quality of the exhibition.
