Last December 7, the disbandment ceremony of ASEAN-Korea Futurist (AKF) 2nd Term members was held at the ASEAN Culture House. The event opened with a welcoming speech from the ASEAN Culture House Director-General Seung-hoon Ham, followed by presentations of proposals for future events, as well as awards for outstanding teams and individual MVPs. A total of 32 Korean and international university students participated in the program over the past eight months, taking part in the ASEAN Cuisine Contest and Quiz on ASEAN, along with various other missions, all the while learning more about the cultures of their fellow participants. The AKF was devised with the hope that it could serve as a platform for up-and-coming generations, or “futurists” of Korea and ASEAN, to develop a greater appreciation for their respective cultures.
