The ASEAN Culture House (ACH) invited 36 members of the “ASEAN Fan club of Hallyu” (Korean Wave) to celebrate the opening of the ACH. Together, they visited the studio where music program “Ingigayo” by Korean TV channel SBS is recorded and several film locations in Busan. In doing so, the fan club members gathered first-hand experiences of K-culture, including K-pop, K-drama and Korean cinema. They learnt more about Korean traditions and history by visiting Gyeongbok Palace, the main royal palace of the Joseon dynasty, and traditional Korean houses at Bukchon Hanok Village in Seoul. During their stay in Busan, participants visited the ASEAN Culture House, where they created video clips about their activities in Korea, which they later shared via SNS to help promote both ACH and Korea. There was also ample time for them to mingle, which provided fertile ground for a closer friendship between Koreans and the peoples of ASEAN.
