This month, the ASEAN Culture House is holding a special event “Easy Access Thailand through Film”
in Commemoration of the 60th Anniversary of Korea-Thailand Diplomatic Relations.
First, On November 8, in cooperation with Asia Center of Seoul National University, as well as the BIFF(Busan International Film Festival),
the ACH showcases a special talk exploring Thai culture through the art of film, featuring Mr. Banjong Pisanthanakun, one of Thailand’s leading film directors,
and Mr. Kim Young-Woo, a asian film programmer for the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF).
The talk will be followed by a special screening of Pisanthanakun’s comic horror film “Pee Mak” (2013).
In addition, two Thai films “The Teacher’s Diary” (2014) and "Bad Genius" (2017), the latter having enjoyed great popularity on Korean social media,
will be shown in connection with the Thai Festival set to be held from November 24 to 25 in cooperation with the Thai Embassy in Seoul.
