KOREA FOUNDATION

The ASEAN Culture House, which provides a platform for cultural exchanges between Korea and ASEAN, opened successfully on the morning of September 1st. The opening ceremony, held at an open-air venue, was attended by Ms. Kang Kyung-hwa, the Republic of Korea’s Minister of Foreign Affairs; Amb. Lee Sihyung, President of the Korea Foundation; Mr. Seo Byung-soo, Mayor of the city of Busan; the foreign ministers and vice-ministers of the 10 ASEAN Member States; secretary-General of ASEAN; numerous ASEAN culture and policy experts; and over 500 citizens of Busan. They all had gathered full of anticipation, and once the opening ceremony had concluded, they admired the exhibits and the high-tech facilities installed at the ASEAN Culture House.
