The 22nd Busan International Film Festival (BIFF)

An ocean of films at Korea’s southern port

Korea’s first-ever international film festival celebrates its 22nd anniversary with a total of 298 films from 75 countries. The festival will open with Korean director Shin Su-won’s latest film “Glass Garden”, and Taiwanese director Sylvia Chang’s “Love Education” will conclude the festival 9 days later. Various films by directors from ASEAN countries will also be introduced. In addition to the film screenings, several events are planned to remember the late Kim Ji-seok, the festival’s deputy executive director who suddenly passed away while attending this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
