From June 12 to 24, the Special Exhibition Gallery at the ASEAN Culture House hosted an exhibition of outstanding photographs in conjunction with the “ASEAN in Korea, Korea in ASEAN” photo contest. Of the 521 photos that were submitted by Koreans, foreign residents in Korea and even by people abroad, 71 photographs were selected for the exhibition that best captured social interactions and cultural exchanges between Korea and the ASEAN region. In addition, the exhibition displayed photos by three Korean documentary photographers, Ha-seon Park, Jong-woo Park, and Gi-hun Noh, depicting characteristic traits of ASEAN nations. The exhibition provided visitors with an opportunity to reflect on the mutual impact Korea and the ASEAN member countries have on each other’s society and everyday lives.
