The 2023 ASEAN Cooking Class, a three-month program hosted by the KF ASEAN Culture House (KF-ACH) to support Busan’s bid for the 2030 World Expo, has successfully reached the end of its journey.

The theme of this year’s cooking class was “must-eat local dishes when traveling through ASEAN.” Each week, ASEAN instructors and Korean culinary professionals led the class through a selection of favorite dishes from a particular ASEAN Member State.

This year’s program was held at two separate venues: the KF-ACH and the Hansol Culinary Academy in Busan’s Seomyeon district. This made the sessions accessible to people from a wider variety of regions, and as a result, 550 participants enjoyed the classes.

For those unable to participate on-site, recipe videos of each week’s featured dishes were uploaded to YouTube. These were well-received by home audiences.

The KF-ACH will continue to plan and host programs with further diversity and depth for those interested in the cuisines of the ASEAN Member States.
