In 2017, the 50th anniversary of the foundation of ASEAN and the year of Korea-ASEAN cultural exchange, the ACH will take its first steps.

 

In accordance with the agreement reached during the Korea-ASEAN Summit in December 2014, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Korea pushed ahead with the establishment of the ACH, while the Korea Foundation (KF) has been tasked with ensuring its smooth operation.

 

With its doors open to the public, the ACH will serve as an interactive cultural platform, implementing exhibitions, performances, film and other programs designed to enhance Koreans’ knowledge of ASEAN, while providing the peoples of the two regions with opportunities to deepen mutual understanding and cultural appreciation.
