Easy Access Indonesia: Unlocking the Infinite Culture, Nature and Venture

 

In the second half of May, the ASEAN Culture House(ACH) held a series of events as part of its program “Easy Access Indonesia: Unlocking the Infinite Culture, Nature and Venture,” organized in cooperation with the Indonesian Embassy in Korea. On May 24, H.E. Mr. Umar Hadi, the Indonesian Ambassador to Korea, delivered a special lecture at the Busan University of Foreign Studies. On May 26, Mme. Nila Umar Hadi, the ambassador’s wife, read the Indonesian fairy tale “Putri Kemang” to children at the ACH. In addition, exhibits related to Indonesian culture, tourism and products were on display at the Community Hall on the 1st floor and a lecture on Indonesian culture and basic Indonesian expressions was held by the First Secretary of the Indonesian Embassy. Other events on offer included a performance of a traditional Indonesian dance called Saman, a cooking class, and a film screening along with free coffee tasting, which successfully concluded the “Easy Access Indonesia” program at the ACH on May 27. The program provided the public with a great opportunity to learn more about Indonesian culture and society.
