Operating an ACH Booth during KF Public Diplomacy Week

 

From November 1–3, the ASEAN Culture House operated a booth to inform the public about the cultures of ASEAN member countries during the 1st Public Diplomacy Week, hosted by the Korea Foundation at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul. Booth visitors had the chance to experience ASEAN cultural heritage sites and even try on traditional ASEAN marital clothing with the use of VR technology, while also enjoying ASEAN dessert tastings, together with traditional games and hands-on workshops. Sand art performances that artistically depicted the characteristic nature of the 10 member countries of ASEAN drew a great deal of interest from visitors of all ages. Over the course of the three-day festival, about 9,000 people were said to have visited the ASEAN booth, hinting at its success in spreading the word about ASEAN culture.
