1st Educational Content Contest for Understanding ASEAN

he ASEAN Culture House, operated by the Korea Foundation, recently held the 1st Educational Content Contest for Understanding ASEAN”to develop educational content tailored to help elementary school students get a better understanding of the ten ASEAN countries. Starting from April, elementary school teachers, prospective teachers, and citizens interested in ASEAN were able to enter the contest. Out of a total of 87 entries, six were honored with awards.

“ASEAN, Great Friends to Go Together”won the grand prize, and the excellence prizes went to “The Ever Beautiful ASEAN”and “Making Nón Lá, the Traditional Vietnamese Hat.”Encouragement prizes were given to “Hello, ASEAN: The Great Adventure of a Warrior,”“A Day in a Friend’s Life: Viet Nam,”and “Viet Nam in Korea, Korea in Viet Nam.”In addition to experience-oriented educational content about ASEAN countries’environmental issues, games, trade, and the metaverse, we received a wide range of educational materials about Viet Nam, as 2022 marks the 30th anniversary of Korea-Viet Nam relations. The winning entries will be used in the ASEAN Culture House’s educational programs for elementary school students.
