Easy Access Singapore

Welcoming the month of October, the peak of the autumn season, the ASEAN Culture House will be hosting “Easy Access Singapore,” the eighth installment of the Easy Access ASEAN Series. On Thursday, during the third and fourth week of the month, “Useful and Mysterious ASEAN - Singapore” of the ACH Lecture Series is scheduled to be held, with Saturdays offering the chance to partake in Singapore-themed activities, including merlion* block building and traditional cooking classes. On Sundays, the ACH welcomes you to bring your family and friends to enjoy special movie screenings capturing Singaporean culture.

* Merlion: The official mascot of Singapore comprised of a fish’s body with the head of a lion.

2018 Vietnam Cultural Festival

On October 7, the ASEAN Culture House is scheduled to host the “2018 Vietnam Cultural Festival,” sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam. The celebration will feature traditional Vietnamese music set pieces, and traditional and modern dance performances, in addition to an Ao Dai Fashion Show and photo exhibition. This cultural and tourism festival began in 2008 with the aim of comprehensively introducing Vietnamese culture to Koreans following the increasingly active political, economic, and cultural exchange between the two countries. 2018 marks the 10th edition of the festival, having previously been held in large metropolitan areas such as Seoul and Busan.

Dance Ensemble Singapore (DES) Performance

The Dance Ensemble Singapore (DES) Performance, in connection with the “Easy Access Singapore” is set to feature modern dance performances unique to Singapore, a popular travel destination among Koreans, to promote a greater understanding of Singaporean society and culture.
