The Korea Foundation, in collaboration with the Thai Institute of Security and International Studies, will hold a KF-ASEAN next-generation policy experts program from March 17–23. The program is designed to invite next generation Korean and East Asian experts to Korea with the aim of improving understanding of Korea’s major policy issues and fostering Korean policy experts. This fourth edition of the KF-ASEAN Next-generation Policy Experts Korea Visit Program will build upon the success of previous editions held in 2016 and 2017, as well as the 2017 edition held in Busan to mark the opening of the ASEAN Culture House. This year’s program will feature a total of 13 participants, and will include visits to government ministries and research institutes such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Unification, and the Asan Institute for Policy Studies. It is hoped that through the program participants will enhance their understanding of Korea-ASEAN relations, democracy in South Korea, and the latest in North-South policy.
