From March 11–May 31, the Korea Foundation will invite 43 diplomats from 43 countries to visit Korea and participate in Korean language and cultural training programs. From the ASEAN region, five diplomats from five states will participate, including an Official of the East Asia Department of the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and an Assistant Secretary of the ASEAN-Malaysia National Secretariat of the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Diplomats will attend language classes and special lectures on Korean studies at Seoul National University during the training period, and will expand their understanding of Korea through meetings with officials from the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Diplomacy Academy. A welcoming ceremony will be held in Seoul on March 8 and will be attended by ambassadors from various countries, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and related organizations. The Foundation hopes to provide overseas diplomats with an opportunity to better understand Korea through the program, fostering Korean experts active in international diplomacy.
