The first day of the 2019 ASEAN-Korea Animation & Kids Film Screening, scheduled for the first and third weekends of June and July, began on June 1. A total of 10 films were shown in June, starting with Battle of Surabaya, the Grand Prize winner of the 20th Seoul International Cartoon & Animation Festival (SICAF), and The Road Called Life, the opening film of the 18th SICAF. The event is being supplemented with several interactive programs including “Coloring ASEAN,” “My Flipbook,” and “4 Frame Cartoon” so that children, teens, and adults of all ages can take part. The screening will continue through July 21. All are welcome, and interested participants can apply on the ASEAN Culture House website (www.ach.or.kr).
