The ASEAN Culture House joined with artists to conduct special workshops related to our ‘Splash ASEAN!’ exhibition. In the second weekend of August, a storytelling workshop was held by artist group Moojin Hyeonge (or Moojin Brothers; Jeong Mu-jin, Jung Hyo-jin, and Jeong Young-don) with the motif of Jules Verne’ novel 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.
On the third weekend of August, 00LP (artists Go Pan-i and Mun Myung-gi) led a workshop on the impacts of climate change. This group of artists traveled to Tuvalu, where they became increasingly aware of the changing lives of the people of this island, which is sinking due to rising sea levels. The workshop provided an opportunity for contemplation through art of actions we can take to battle climate change. We hope participants gained artistic insight and a greater awareness of climate change-related issues.
