Easy Access Indonesia

This May, the ASEAN Culture House (ACH) hosted “Easy Access Indonesia” in collaboration with the Embassy of Indonesia and Indonesian Trade Promotion Center Busan (ITPC Busan). “ASEAN Travel Workshop - Indonesia,” which took place on May 23, greatly benefited from the presence of Daisy Park, Visit Indonesia Tourism Officer (VITO), who was invited to speak about popular tourist spots in Indonesia as well as some aspects of Indonesian culture and manners that are good to know in advance of travelling to the country.

On May 25 and 26, visitors were able to experience Indonesian culture through various cultural experience programs that taught children how to build traditional Indonesian puppets (wayang), while the adults learned how to cook traditional Indonesian salad (Gado Gado), banana dessert (Kolak Pisang) from an Indonesian chef.
Notably, on May 26, a special seminar was hosted on the beauty of Indonesian batik, coffee and street art. It was a special experience that provided an opportunity for visitors to learn batik from Sakong Kyung, the president of the Association of Indonesian & Korean Culture Study in Korea, as well as to participate in coffee tasting, explore Indonesian cuisine, and enjoy the beauty of street performances from Yani Parasti Siregar.
The ACH hopes that Easy Access Indonesia provided an opportunity for people to become more interested in Indonesia.
