From March 10-11, the ASEAN Culture House co-hosted the “Theme Field Trip for Foreign Residents in Korea to the 2018 PyeongChang Paralympics” in Gangneung and Sokcho, in collaboration with the Korea Foundation’s Global Center, the Busan Foundation for International Cooperation (BFIC), and the Regional Advanced Universities Development Project. A total of 107 foreign residents from Seoul and Busan, hailing from 44 countries, gathered at the Paralympics venue in Gangwon Province. Together, they experienced the spirit of the Olympics while watching a preliminary Paralympic ice hockey match, visited several cultural sites, attended a lecture on public diplomacy, and participated in networking activities. The participants thoroughly enjoyed their time, which provided them with a meaningful opportunity for cultural exchange.
