On January 18, 80 participants of the UN Peace Memorial Hall Global Citizen Peace Camp visited the ASEAN Culture House. Participants, including children, teens, and young adults aged nine to 24, enjoyed the screening of an ASEAN film depicting traditional games and customs, which was followed by coconut-stepping, a game of ASEAN jegichagi (similar to Hacky Sack), a hands-on puppet show, and other ASEAN traditions. The young participants visited the ACH’s permanent and special exhibitions, while also touring ASEAN historical sites via virtual reality and enjoying a traditional costume kiosk to get a taste of ASEAN culture. We welcome other interested groups to register for their own customized group visitation program throughout this year.
