ASEAN Meal-kit Project

The ASEAN Culture House will carry out the “ASEAN Meal-kit Project” in conjunction with Talktomedabab¹, an association for marriage immigrants in Korea, and Dajeong Dagam², an extracurricular club of Sookmyung Women’s University. From the third week of November until the second week of December, a meal kit³ of five ASEAN dishes will be sold via (reward-based) crowdfunding⁴ on Wadiz⁵. 

   The project was designed to introduce ASEAN’s culinary cultures to a wider audience, to make up for the limited operation of the ACH’s cooking class due to COVID-19 countermeasures. All proceeds will be donated to contribute toward the financial independence (job capability-building) of female marriage immigrants. In addition to selling meal kits, cooking videos about the dishes included in the meal kits will be made available via YouTube so that customers can try cooking ASEAN dishes at home.
